Nivea Nivea Parent company, Germany beauty products Group Beiersdorf Beiersdorf 2014 in the first quarter to achieve net profit of 166 million euros, the year-on-year growth 7.1%,ebit income tax before the profit increased to 235 million euros, higher than analysts expected 224 million euros. After the adjustment, EBIT profit margin increased from 13.6% in the same period last year to 14.7%.

Sales rose 1.2% per cent to 1.596 billion euros in the first quarter as of March 31, 2014, excluding an organic gain of 6.7% after the exchange rate, with sales of the consumer sector, which accounted for about 80% per cent, increased 0.4% to 1.323 billion euros and an organic increase of 6.3% per cent. Nivea Nivea, Eucerin and La Prairie recorded growth of 7.6%, 10.3% and 3.4% respectively, by region, Europe by 0.9%, the Americas by 6.9%, Africa, Asia and Australia by 17.5%. Stefan Heidenreich, the group's chief executive, disclosed in the report's analyst meeting that despite the first quarter of China's market, China remains a challenging market, still a long way from being profitable, while the performance of the Russian and Ukrainian markets has remained strong.

Beiersdorf Beiersdorf Group maintained its full-year results forecast: Sales growth in the fiscal year is expected to rise to a 4-6%,ebit rate than in fiscal year 2013.

Beiersdorf fell 1.18% to 71.78 euros in the afternoon of Thursday.
