February 1, Nokia and Education publishing Shang announced the establishment of the Connaught-Pui Interconnection (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. The move will accelerate the development of the "learning clan" business. The "line learning Clan", developed by Nokia in China, provides educational services through mobile phones. The "line learning Clan" is a mobile service launched in China in 2007 and can be used by many content providers to provide English language learning materials and other educational content through mobile phones. Users can use the new Nokia handsets pre-installed in the application, or through the service to visit the mobile Web site and most of China's WAP portal to obtain relevant content. Since the launch date, the "row learning clan" has 20 million users in China, of which 1.5 million people are active users of the service every month. The "line learning clan" will continue to be available to Chinese users through a variety of channels, including the Nokia Ovi Store. The newly established joint venture will combine Nokia's world-class technical experience in mobile terminals and services, Pearson's leading asset and technology in the education industry, and offering a wealth of services to meet the huge demands of China's education market.
