India's telecoms regulator said India had added 18 million mobile subscribers in June and the total number of Indian mobile users reached 636 million.

Some companies that have previously used BlackBerrys are now considering allowing employees to use phones such as Apple's iphone and Nokia to access corporate mailboxes. IBM allows company employees in India to access company mailboxes from other permitted devices.
