Non-manufacturing Business activity index rises

Xinhua News (Reporter Hu Hongwei) China Logistics and Purchasing Association released yesterday, July China's non-manufacturing purchasing Managers index (PMI) Business Activity index was 60.1%, the chain Rose 2.7%.　　In contrast to the three-month decline in manufacturing PMI, which has been low for 17 months, the non-manufacturing sector has remained at more than 50% per cent for five consecutive months as of July, with three months remaining at more than 60% per cent, indicating a pattern of good overall growth in the non-manufacturing sector as a whole. Since the non-manufacturing sector does not have a composite index, the overall change in the non-manufacturing economy is usually reflected in the business Activity index. The index fell sharply in the four quarter last year and recovered after reaching a low in the first quarter.　　China Logistics Information Center analysis that this reflects a rise in domestic market demand, external market demand continued to resume growth. Cai Jin, vice president of China Logistics and Procurement Federation, said that the non-manufacturing PMI overall showed a good growth trend. The property index has returned to more than 50% this month, and follow-up market changes remain to be seen. The increase in the price index of intermediate inputs means that business costs are increasing. The future economy still needs to grasp the coordination between growth, structural adjustment and management of inflation expectations.
