Apple will release new products at its U.S. headquarters on October 16. The new releases are likely to include an upgraded ipad Air with Touch ID fingerprint sensors, a 27-inch retina version of the imac, and a formal version of Mac desktop system Yosemite.

The Re/code site, which is closely related to Apple, often reveals earlier about Apple's launch date or some of its new product features, which have been "foretold" many times before.
