Notable Android application permissions

When you download an application from Google's Android gaming store, it prompts you to accept permissions, but most people are not paying attention to downloading apps directly. This is a bad idea. Without control, an application can open any data on your device and may cause data to be stolen, spam, and malicious software. An Android application has up to 124 different types of permissions. According to a February study by the Department of Electrical Engineering and computer science at the University of California, Berkeley, 33% of Android apps require more authority than they need. The researchers also found that, in fact, 97% of respondents did not correctly identify the permissions required by the application. For example, when an application requests access to your device store, what does it actually require? It can modify or remove your USB storage, and why would it want to do something like that? When it asks to access your account, is it really needed? If SMS permissions are required, do you know if it will use a paid SMS service in your name? These are serious problems, but most people just need to click on the download and start using the app. The researchers found that only 83% of Android users noticed these permissions when installing an application, and 42% didn't know what the permissions were. Users are reluctant to disclose personal information, which proves to be problematic. When it comes to how to use permissions, most well-known developers follow the rules of the game. But this is not always the case. Mobile social network path is caught. They send the contacts in the Address book to the server without permission. Path later apologized and said it would delete the data stolen by the server. But for those less rigorous developers, collecting data from devices is profitable. There are some basic rules to follow when downloading an application. First of all, where does it come from? However, Apple does not explicitly indicate the permissions required to download the application. And Google is playing a different problem.
