Amazon recently told resilient data Block Storage (EBS) that the ioPS of each EBS can now reach 2000, doubling the original 1000 iops.
"For high-end 15000RPM hard drives, the performance of this iops is increased beyond the user's expectations," Amazon said in its blog. "If you've been using redundant array of disk technology to get higher performance, you might now be able to get more performance with fewer arrays." ”
Amazon says the EBS will provide an additional 10% performance to ensure the volume availability reaches 99.9%.
To achieve higher IOPS, customers can combine multiple storage volumes to make a EC2 application that better meets the I/O centralized load requirements, such as database storage or transport processes. According to the company, SAP provides an environment with IOPS greater than 20000. Amazon says customers can also request the release of EBS optimized EC2 instances (data transfer rates ranging from 500 to 1000Mbps).
Amazon EBS supports storage capacity between 1GB and 1TB and can be amplified by EC2 instances. EBS provides IOPS at a cost of $0.125 per gigabyte per month, costing 0.1 dollars per ioPS a month.
