NSN COO: Only consider the acquisition of northern electricity part of the assets

Bit net (chinabyte) May 20 According to foreign reports, Nokia Siemens (abbreviation: NSN) Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mika Vehvilainen said recently, NSN will not receive the overall Nortel, only to consider the purchase of part of the North power business.　　Mika Vehvilainen said that if Nortel chose to split the sale, NSN might consider partial acquisitions of Nortel assets. Earlier, there have been reports that Nortel has decided to abandon China's LTE sector, and NSN is interested in acquiring the sector.　　North China's LTE department employees are either being laid off or facing relocation to a new company. Nortel filed for bankruptcy protection in the United States and Canada this January. It also said it would lay off at least 5000 people this year, accounting for about 15% of the total number of employees, and consider reorganizing some of its operations into a smaller one. NSN made an offer to Nortel in March this year, hoping to acquire most of the assets including the LTE wireless technology research and Development Division.
