The acquisition, which requires antitrust clearance from 9 countries or territories, has only been awarded 8, which is in the process of approval by China's Ministry of Commerce's Antitrust bureau, which was announced late in 2010.  In 2011, Huawei filed a lawsuit against the U.S. District Court to prevent Motorola from illegally transferring Huawei's proprietary intellectual property rights to NSN, and the Illinois State North District court ruled on Huawei's lawsuit against Motorola and NSN, banning Motorola solutions from disclosing Huawei's confidential information to NSN.
