A growing number of health programs and data tracking programs are now rolling out to provide users with services such as data tracking, a healthy diet, exercise guides, and body condition analysis. Although a lot of similar applications at this stage a lot of options, but many are losing weight or are in the fitness of users have had such complaints: health classes and data tracking too many applications, often on the same device needs to be installed More than one such application is not only cumbersome to use, it also is a huge waste of smart devices limited memory space.
Recently, a new fitness application Nudge successfully developed. This Nudge can integrate all your favorite health class applications, greatly increasing the user's ease of use. In addition, the Nudge can integrate data such as exercise recommendations, data collection, and analysis results to make it easier for users to gain a clearer view of their current physical condition and progress.
Phil Beene and Mac Gambill, the co-founders of this application, Nudge, are very confident about the applications they have developed and believe that sports enthusiasts need a platform that can bring together a variety of applications.
Among them, Phil Beene said: "We aimed to provide users with the applications they wanted, so we brought together such applications to create a simple, comprehensive platform." To date, the platform has been integrated Run Keeper, Moves, Fitbit, Up by Jawbone, MapMyFitness, and Strava. In addition, the company also plans to add more applications and health-class applications, giving users more choice. At this stage, the company is working with some target companies to discuss and research.
Gambill introduced the Nudge in more detail: "At the moment we are strategically selecting some of the applications that fit our topic into the platform and adding push services, and at this stage we are more inclined to integrate common Applications and mainstream devices, but in the future we want to be able to support more mainstream devices and add more of this type of application to continuously improve the user experience. "
Nudge's interface design is very simple, easy to understand and easy to operate. This Nudge has five different sections. First of all, "dashboard", the main content of the dashboard is to prompt the user how to operate the next step. Next is the "log", in which the user can read all the information of the program. "Clubs", where clubs allow users to sign up for a variety of group activities such as activities to share healthy cooking experiences and fitness results. The current Nudge is a bit weaker in this area, but the future has plenty of potential. "Friends," this is actually a small community in Nudge where users can go and greet their friends to let them know about your presence. "Sync", in this section, users can synchronize the data of some other health-related applications.
Among the five sections above, "diary" can be said to be the most important part of the program. It can be divided into seven categories, including drinks, food, exercise, sleep, hobbies, energy and weight. Users can personalize each of them according to their own needs, according to their own needs to establish different sub-categories. For example in the food area, users can add sub-categories such as fruits, vegetables, beans and protein. And whenever you eat one of these foods, you just need to click Add.
During my trial, I found that "diary" was one of the most useful and mature parts of it. Not only tidy interface and easy to use, and UI design is also very reasonable and highly operational. We delete an application, the vast majority of its interface design is irrational or the interface is very low aesthetic. The Nudge platform in the "log" can be said that the perfect interface design.
By using Nudge to record my eating habits, I found that there was not enough water in the body and the fruit intake was extremely low. The other big feature is that I have gone too far and are good exercise opportunities both on the stairs and on the MTR.
I personally do not use smart wearable devices, so I do not often use Fitbit and Jawbone. But in my athletic record, there are frequent walks and occasional runs, so I regularly use Moves and occasionally RunKeeper. All deny, the synchronization function of these two applications is very ideal, so whether it is for running or mountaineering and other sports, can record their data directly to the log.
In all the records of the Nudge platform, users only need to accurately fill in the intake information (that is, food, drinks and eating habits), and other application information can be automatically recorded, very convenient. For example, after you synchronize with Jawbone on the Nudge platform, your sleep and movement information will be pushed simultaneously. Once you wake up to go out or run to the office, all your physical activity will be recorded and automatically filled into the "go" column in the Journal. And when you warm-up before running or running, it will automatically fill in the "exercise" column.
Whenever a day is over, all the data you analyze throughout the day will determine your "health" score for the day. Or recorded as "Nudge Factor," a rating based on several key factors, including sleep, nutrition, exercise, and mood. This standard has been endorsed by professional doctors, the World Health Organization and other experts in this field.
Nudge will color-code your daily rating results on the calendar, so users can easily see their daily scores and health status. If the day's high scoring index demonstrates a higher health index, the color code is green. Mediocre on the day, the color code is yellow. Red if the day's performance is poor and the health index is low. Users simply click on the "reason" button, you can read each part of the score and explain the situation.
It should be noted that this score does not take the initiative to generate notifications to inform users, but also not because of the results to remind users need to eat more vegetables, drink plenty of water. However, if I, like me, is a typical A-type character, and I hate these elements of "discordant" in life, I see that there will be enough motivation for red coding to be improved so as to achieve the green score. In the coming days, notice of scoring results should be rolled out, but at this stage the Nudge founders just want to keep it simple.
If users want their health data can be professional advice, it is not impossible. In the future, Nudge will allocate the appropriate doctors according to the actual number of users in particular. The doctor can get the user's health log, so as to facilitate the end user's various data. Of course, these are afterword, at this stage the founder of Nudge still want to mainly to respect user privacy, make full use of data analysis.
This application currently available in the iTunes Store and GooglePlay can be downloaded, interested users, may wish to give it a try.
