In Microsoft's support forum many people say their mouse cursor is automatically running in the game. Microsoft explained that this was because Windows 8.1 changed the strategy for detecting game mice. Another problem is that the player cannot now turn off mouse acceleration, i.e. the distance the cursor moves on the screen equals the distance that actually moves on the desktop. Microsoft says this feature may not be supported by Windows 8.1.
