Earlier this week, OpenSSL, a large security vulnerability called "Heartbleed", revealed that the vulnerability could allow hackers to steal user data without traces of access to affected sites. A hacker can attack a Web site that uses HTTPS (where this vulnerability exists), read 64K data in the server's memory every time, and repeatedly acquire it, which may contain the user's HTTP original request, user's cookie or even plaintext account password.
In order to help users cope with this incident, the online Password management tool LastPass the first time to launch a special detection tool to detect whether the site has been updated by the user's certificate, so that users will be assured to replace the password to continue to log in and use these sites.
Now, LastPass has launched a new fully automated test tool that automatically checks whether users ' stored websites are threatened by the vulnerability and whether they need to replace their passwords now. Users can directly click on the LastPass icon to open the menu, click "Security", that is, can complete the stored web site detection.
