KeywordsDevelopers open source platforms mobile games designers
Beijing Time September 28 news, according to foreign media reports, Openkit has officially launched its mobile social games open source platform, the platform for all developers to use.
Openkit, the co-founder of Peter Ruiland, announced the creation of the OpenFeint service last December, which was bought by Gree and closed last year. This March, Openkit released version 1.0 closed beta. Openkit claims that it is the only platform to support the game Center ID, the Google + ID, and the Facebook ID. Openkit service features include rankings, challenges and achievements. The beta version of the platform was initially launched to 10 developers, including the popular game Pivvot developer Whitaker Trebella.
Openkit's launch is close to openfeint for a year, Openkit can be said to be OpenFeint's successor, and iOS and Android developers are now able to use the services Openkit offers.
Whitaker Trebella's Pivvot is one of the first games to take advantage of Openkit's full-featured form, which the developer claims Openkit platform is "very good, responsive, and closely coordinated every step." Indeed, outside developers ' interest in Openkit has been strong, with 500 developers signing the version 1.0 test earlier this year. Several founders of Openkit said that even Amazon realized the importance of their version when they announced last week that their Android version of the Gamecircle service was extended to the iOS version. This is mainly because Openkit is open source, and developers can build their own back-end services without expense.
In addition to Peter Ruiland, the other three co-founders were Lou Zell (Lou Zell), Todd (Todd Hamilton) and Sunit Shaha (Suneet Shah).
Peter Ruiland is a successful serial entrepreneur, angel investor, Silicon Valley executive and technical veteran with a technical age of more than 25 years. Sunit Shaha holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, and worked for 4 years as a product manager at Microsoft Office. Lou Zell is a full stack developer with a background in EFI engineering. Previously, he was the co-founder and chief developer of the iOS version of the game handle. Todd likes games, is a UI designer and front-end developer, before Openkit, he is the iOS version of the game handle joint creator and designer.
