BEIJING, December 24, 2013--Oracle has reached an agreement with Responsys, the leading enterprise business-class corporate cloud marketing software vendor, to NASDAQ:MKTG $27 a share of net cash for nearly $1.5 billion a dollar, the company said recently. Responsys is widely used by the world's best-known corporate brands to help businesses make large-scale marketing interactions through e-mail, mobile devices, social platforms, display screens and networks.

The Responsys will expand the Oracle customer Experience cloud, including business, sales, service, social and Oracle marketing clouds. By consolidating Responsys and Oracle Eloqua on the marketing cloud, the chief marketing officer will first be able to leverage the business model of either business-to-business or Business-to-consumer on a single platform to engage in marketing interactions across the customer lifecycle, driving an unmatched customer experience.

The Responsys Company's board of Directors has approved Oracle's takeover plan. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2014. The time of completion depends on the Responsys shareholders paying off the vast majority of the tradable shares and the established equity Incentive awards, as well as the regulatory and other laws and regulations.
