Oracle's approach to the integration of Java and Sun cloud computing platforms became increasingly apparent in Wednesday, as Oracle's high level of recognition of Java and the negation of Sun cloud computing.

According to Oracle's new approach, Java will be expanded into more application types, an Oracle official said in a Wednesday meeting at the San-Sun Integration Conference. The company's statement now emphasizes more that the Java strategy will be completed after the integration of sun.

Oracle does not have much certainty about Sun's cloud computing. Sun's public cloud computing platform was announced in March 2009 and was deployed last summer. "We are not going to provide Sun's cloud computing services," says Edward Screven, Oracle's chief architect.

Oracle's chief executive Larry Ellison has assessed the actual maturity or importance of cloud computing concepts in the marketplace. But while Oracle does not intend to provide computing services similar to Amazon.com through Sun Cloud Computing, the company will provide products to help build modules for public cloud computing and private cloud computing enterprises.

At the same time, Oracle provides more standards for enterprise, mobile, and Java-rich media versions, as he did with other sun-driven software technologies such as the NetBeans IDE and the GlassFish application server.

"Java, like a pearl for Oracle, can promote and extend Java program patterns to support emerging software application development models," said Thomas Kurian, vice president of Oracle Product development.

"Java is the world's most popular programming language, especially in enterprise-class areas where more than 1 million of developers use this language, and the company will invest in and revitalize the Java developer community," says Thomas.

Java standard versions, especially Java virtual machines, will develop support for multiple languages. This will continue what sun has been doing for a long time. Sun has been working for the past few years to enable the JVM to support dynamic languages such as Ruby.
