Xinhua Beijing, July 17, according to the Wall Street Journal reported that Sun Computer Company (also known as: Sheng Yang Computer) said in Thursday, after the vote, shareholders support Oracle's 7.4 billion dollar takeover proposal for Sun Electronic computer. In a press release, Sun Electronics said 62% of ordinary shareholders voted in favour of the deal at a special shareholder meeting. Under the agreement, Oracle will buy sun electronic computers at a cash price of $9.50 per share. The report said that the support of Sun electronic computer company has cleared a big hurdle for the deal. But the deal awaits antitrust approval from the US Justice Department (U.S Justice Department). The United States Department of Justice said in June that the initial review period would be extended. Oracle said the company expects the deal to be completed by the end of August, although the review is longer.
