Xinhua Beijing, April 12 (Reuters)-Bloomberg quoted three people familiar with the news as saying that the smartphone maker Palm is likely to seek a takeover offer as early as this week as it intends to sell its business.  The current palm is working with Goldman Sachs and Qatalyst partners to find buyers, according to Bloomberg. Palm's handsets include pre and Pixi and develop webOS mobile software.  According to reports, Palm shares jumped in Friday, the Taiwan Economic Daily reported that the world's fifth-largest smartphone maker Taiwan's HTC "has begun negotiations to acquire" Palm. The current non-US regular trading time, Reuters can not immediately contact Palm to comment.
