A senior executive at ebay's PayPal business was killed in a train crash in Silicon Valley in Friday, according to the Wall Street Journal (blog, Weibo), http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/1754.html.

Eric Salvatierra, a 39-year-old Eric Salvatierra, is the vice-president of ebay's PayPal department and the chief financial officer of ebay's Skype department.

Salvatierra was killed in a train hit by the Caltrain company in Menlo, California, USA, in Friday.

A spokesman for the Caltrain company said the incident was still under investigation and declined to comment more.

"The ebay family will miss Eric very much," a PayPal spokeswoman said in a statement. Our hearts will be with his family and all those who love him, and through this difficult time together. ”
