PHING is the acronym for phing isn't GNU make, a project building system based on http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/14417.html >apache Ant. It can be used to do all the functions of the traditional build system, such as GNU make, using simple XML build files and extensible PHP classes, making it easy to use and highly flexible building framework. Features include file conversions (such as token substitution, smarty template conversions, XSLT transformations), file system operations, support for interactive construction, execution of SQL statements, CVS operations, running external scripts, and so on.

The Phing 2.4.7 version fixes and improves several tasks (especially Docblox tasks), adds oci/odbc to support dbdeploy tasks, and introduces a task rendering Restructuredtext.
