The old business model is already nirvana, and a highly collaborative, innovative new business model is reborn. Now, anyone in any industry or position needs creative problem-solving skills.
Even more challenging is that in this never-ending business environment, your ability to innovate must be in place at all times to cope with the demands that come at any time--and that's when your head is the easiest to "brick". However, in a fast-growing company, getting new inspiration every day is an unlikely thing for you or your team, and there is a myriad of ways to find inspiration. Go out for inspiration, change the landscape or watch a episode of "Shower Principle", "I'm a Comedy" (Rock) sixth season 15th episode "The Shower Principle," which is about how to impress your boss with originality, These methods never worked on me two times in a row.
Luckily, I found some heretical tips that might help when you can't do anything.
1. Embrace the last 1 minutes of creative ideas
At the last minute sometimes something magical happens. At this time, people's thinking is often clearer, and more hysterical desire to break through. As deadline approaches and my team struggles, I will ask the team at the last minute to show their thoughts to the whole group, no matter how "self-evident" or ludicrous the idea sounds. "Let's say you have full discretion over this project .... "You can't imagine what it does to relieve stress when you tell a bunch of innovators.
It's worth noting that this method works only at the last minute, and you have to take the stage so that your team can express ideas freely. You can try to give the team the right to freedom earlier in the project, but they may not believe you and let go of it. When you feel the tension in the team, make it come out again.
2. Find something you can see and touch.
When your initial plan is formed, find something to touch and put it in the house. For example, a piece of art that allows you to think about the final form of the product you are thinking about, and it can remind you of what you've done and what you can improve. Another example is a competitor's product, a piece of building material, a widget for the finished product, a magazine for the customer group, and so on. Anything that can visually awaken your ideas and make that idea bigger is a good choice. Touch can usually inspire your brain function, and a visible touch can inspire creativity more than a vague concept in your head.
3. File your old ideas
By the way, ideas are not so easy to die, they are so valuable to the minds we spend, and we are constantly searching for opportunities to make them work.
Don't throw them away, all you have to do is keep piling up and moving on. Liberate yourself from old ideas and move on to think of newer, better and more constructive tricks.
4. Compression team to the "struggle" scale
When my company was small enough to have only three co-founders, one had to argue with the other two to keep the river of ideas flowing. Democracy is your best friend and probably your mean uncle, but at least it can get you to stand up and stick to what you believe in.
Unfortunately, when a company gets bigger, the spirit of struggle tends to dissipate. When your creative team gets bigger, it's easy to get complacent and call for a think tank to start the brain for a "big team".
By compressing your team to three or four people, you can again stir up eloquent sparks and dig deeper into the process of innovation. Push yourself (and your co-workers) into a position where you know that you have to defend your best ideas and that the protracted war of innovation can take place, just as demand is actually the mother of innovation.
