According to foreign media reports, American game maker PopCap said today that the company has set up a new research and development studio to launch a fast market access to the game products.
PopCap points out that the new "lab" Studio is called 4th & Battery and is made up of existing popcap developers. PopCap says the traditional game development model takes a long time to develop a game. In this process, only a small number of game products were eventually released. PopCap hopes to use 4th & Battery Studios to deliver more game products to the market faster.
The Seattle company has developed popular games such as "Plants vs Zombies", "Zuma Blitz" and "Gem Bejeweled". PopCap said the company's most famous game, "Gem Bejeweled", has sold more than 50 million copies. The next 4th & Battery game will support Facebook, PCs and iOS based devices, PopCap said.
