China-Burma crude oil pipeline project confirmed according to Xinhua news agency, Beijing, June 19 (reporter Zhang Anber) CNPC 19th confirmed to reporters that the company recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Burma's crude oil pipeline project.  Industry insiders said that the determination of the crude oil pipeline project marks the initial formation of China's four major oil and gas import channels, is conducive to the diversification of oil transport channels to protect our energy supply security.  With the dust settling of China-Burma crude oil pipeline project, the strategic pattern of the four major oil and gas import channels in the northeast, northwest, Southwest land and Sea has been preliminarily formed. According to the Sino-Burmese Memorandum of Understanding on the development, operation and management of the China-Burma crude oil pipeline project signed recently in Beijing, the project includes crude oil pipelines, storage and transportation facilities and ancillary facilities from Burma's Made to the Chinese delivery point, and a terminal and terminal for unloading crude oil from a large tanker and other ancillary facilities built in the vicinity of the island of Battambang, Myanmar.  The two sides agreed to design, build, operate and manage crude oil pipeline projects in China, with a capacity of 22 million tonnes/year for piping design. In the Northeast China, the Sino-Russian crude oil pipeline after 14 of hard negotiations, and finally in mid-May this year officially started construction; in northwest China, on the basis of the pipeline of crude oil and natural gas in central Kazakhstan, the gas pipeline was started in 2008, which further consolidated the Northwest Land Channel  In the southwestern part of China, the sea passage through the Malacca Strait is the traditional oil import channel in China. At present, with the exception of imports from Russia and Kazakhstan, more than 80% of the imported crude oil has to pass through the strategic throat channel of the Malacca Strait.
