Preliminary formation of four major oil and gas inlet channels in China

According to the Sino-Burmese Memorandum of Understanding on the development, operation and management of the China-Burma crude oil pipeline project signed recently in Beijing, the project includes crude oil pipelines, storage and transportation facilities and ancillary facilities from Burma's Made to the Chinese delivery point, and a terminal and terminal for unloading crude oil from a large tanker and other ancillary facilities built in the vicinity of the island of Battambang, Myanmar.　　The two sides agreed to design, build, operate and manage crude oil pipeline projects in China, with a capacity of 22 million tonnes/year for piping design. At present, with the exception of imports from Russia and Kazakhstan, more than 80% of the imported crude oil has to pass through the strategic throat channel of the Malacca Strait.
