Pycups is a Python binding suite for the CUPS application interface that is used for system-configured printers, but can also serve other purposes.

Cups definition

CUPS (Common UNIX Printing system) is a print system that supports Fedora Core3, which primarily uses IPP (Internet Printing Kyoto) to manage print work and queues, but also supports "LPD" ( Line Printer Daemon) and communication protocols such as "SMB" (Server message Block) and Appsocket.

The Pycups 1.9.60 version defines some state constants from cups 1.5.
