Qihoo 360 director Thor leaves the board for personal reasons

Qihoo 360 (Nyse:qihu) announced today that the director Thor to resign from the board for personal reasons, and that the director Li Yujun to submit his resignation to the board for personal reasons, and that it would quit after the company submitted filing documents on May 1.

Chen Yu, managing director of Silver Lake Investment Group, was appointed as an independent director of Qihoo 360, with immediate effect.

Chen Yu joined Silver Lake in 2008 and is currently managing director of the company. Before joining Silver Lake, he was a senior vice president at the semiconductor company ASML and served on the Executive committee.

Chen Yu also served as senior vice president of JPMorgan Chase, coordinating research in the electronics industry and conducting investment research in many fields of science and technology. He attended the Department of Physics at Peking University and received a Ph. D. in electronic Engineering from Stanford University.

Qihoo 360 The Board appointed Chen Yu to replace Thor as chairman of the nomination and Governance committee, and to join the company remuneration committee, the appointment of immediate effect.

After Li Yujun resigned, Chen Yu will also join the Qihoo 360 Audit committee.

Qihoo 360 The Board also appointed Chen Wenjiang as chairman of the Board of Auditors, with the appointment to take effect on May 1, 2014. Chen Wenjiang is currently a member of the 360 audit committee of Qihoo.
