Quanta Computer second quarter net profit of NT $5.4 billion

Sina Science and technology news on the afternoon of August 31, Taiwan Quanta Computer released today as at June 30, the second quarter of 2011 financial report.　　Earnings showed that the net profit of Quanta's computer in the second quarter, which was NT $5.1 billion in the same period last year, was slightly better than analysts had expected, with 11 per cent of the surveyed analysts expecting an average of NT $5.2 billion. Quanta said the gross profit margin for the second quarter was 3.45%, a slight increase from 3.42% a year earlier.　　In addition, the company expects seasonal demand in the second half of the year will not be significantly warmer, but the company's notebook computer shipments growth is expected to exceed the industry average growth rate.
