Quick Start to Cloud Computing Architecture for Beginners

I'm sure you have heard that one of the buzzwords surrounding cloud computing is "Cloud Architect". In this article, I will outline my understanding of cloud computing architect and analyze the skills and certifications required to become a cloud architect. If you decide to give up this career path, I will also list some available job types.

What is a cloud architect?
Cloud computing architecture refers to the components and subcomponents required by cloud computing. These components usually consist of a front-end platform, a back-end platform, cloud-based delivery, and a network. These components combine to form a cloud computing architecture. Cloud solution design is based on the architectural processes and methods developed over the past 20 years.

The cloud architect is responsible for translating the technical requirements of the project into guiding the architecture and design of the final product. Typically, the cloud architect is also responsible for bridging the gap between complex business problems and solutions in the cloud. Other members of the technical team, including DevOps engineers and developers, work with Cloud Architect to ensure that the correct technology is built.

What initial skills are required?
If you plan to become a cloud architect, ideally, you will already have a strong background in cloud computing or similar technologies. If you are satisfied with most of the following concepts or at least some of them, then you may be on the right path. Otherwise, before you assume the role of Cloud Architect, I suggest you do some preliminary research or work in these areas.

Have a good understanding of at least one operating system: Linux, Unix, Solaris, Ubuntu, Windows. My first choice is any Linux operating system (for example, Ubuntu or Red Hat), but previous experience as an administrator or architect in any well-known operating system will also help.
Good understanding of the network: TCP / IP, IP address, HTTP, DNS. I suggest that you become familiar with these concepts before becoming a cloud architect.
Computer programming language: You need at least some knowledge of programming or scripting languages. This may not be necessary, but it will certainly help.
Security: Security in the cloud is important, so for cloud security architects, there must be a high-level understanding of key security concepts. Therefore, you must have some basic knowledge of basic security concepts (such as firewalls).
