7.4.1 3D window Manager

Beryl can make a flat desktop display cool 3D desktop effect, after a simple configuration, you can quickly turn the current desktop into a personalized, gorgeous world full of 3D effect. The Beryl Settings Manager and Emerald Theme Manager are the two basic ways to do 3D setup, which are described in the following chapters. To avoid operational errors or problems when the manager shuts down automatically, select the "If Beryl fails to start the Alternate window manager" and select an alternate window manager, the default window manager for the system is the KDE window manager.

7.4.2 3D window Configuration

The 3D window configuration is used to configure the 3D effect of the window. Clicking settings → 3D window configuration from the Start menu or selecting the Beryl Settings Manager entry from the 3D window manager's Right-click menu pops up the window shown below.

In the 3D window configuration, you can set up Windows, Desktop, visual effects, secondary control, additional features, development, image format. By clicking the label at the top of the window, the appropriate options are listed in the Options window below, and the ∨ before you select an option. If the preselected parameter values are not satisfactory, the user can also reset them to the right of the window according to their needs.
