Xinhua Cairo, December 20 (reporter Wang Chen Justice) The League of Arab States and the United Nations Development Programme 20th jointly issued a report that the Arab countries have a high rate of uniform poverty of 40%. The report, entitled "The development challenges of the Arab States", states that while the Arab States have achieved good economic growth since 2000, the poverty rate in the Arab countries has never declined in the past 20 years, and has even risen in some countries. At present, the Arab countries have achieved a homogeneous poverty rate of 40%, and about 140 million people live below the poverty line. The report exaggerates the challenge for the Arab countries to transform the fruits of economic development into poverty eradication and to implement effective policies to redistribute income. The report believes that the Arab countries unemployed population of more than 50% young people, is the world's highest proportion of youth unemployment.
