New research by Vision Mobile shows that more developers have chosen Android as their main development platform, while the number of developers choosing iOS, Windows, and BlackBerry systems is much smaller.

Data show that most developers may target three platforms when designing applications for smartphones. However, about 34.4% of developers view Android as the preferred platform for developing applications, while 32.7% of Developers view iOS as the preferred platform, while about 17.3% of developers opt for HTML5, and developers who choose WP account for only 4.5%. Slightly above the choice of BlackBerry system 4.2%.

The gap between Android and iOS is even greater in tablet applications. About 84% of developers are willing to develop tablet applications for Android and only 62% of developers willing to develop apps for iOS tablets, according to data from Market research Institute Evans, a 464-bit global developer survey.

Overall, given the dominance of Android in the global mobile operating system, the system has become the preferred platform for most developers.
