Research on the shortest distance computing method for privacy protection in cloud environment

Based on homomorphic encryption algorithm, this paper proposes a new method of calculating the shortest distance between nodes, which protects the information privacy of edge weights. This method encrypts the weighted information of the edge and then outsource the encrypted data to the cloud platform to utilize the breadth-first principle. The cloud server can compute the shortest distance from the initial node to the other nodes directly, and compute the shortest distance between any two nodes by the client and the cloud server side. The main calculation is the server-side completion of the client only simple decryption and judgment operation This method enables the client to use cloud computing to perform compute-intensive shortest distance computing tasks and to ensure that the privacy information such as intermediate results and final results of the calculation of the edge weights is not compromised. The theoretical analysis and simulation experiment prove the safety and correctness of this method.
