RIM buys mobile software developer Viigo

Mobile software Development company Viigo on the website announced that the company has been bought by rim.

Viigo's software http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/17185.html "> helps users get a range of information from their phones, including weather forecasts, stock quotes, sporting events, podcasts and news headlines." Viigo's software is customized to allow users to choose their own favorite news sources and set weather forecasts for the region.

Viigo also develops software for enterprise users to help users get corporate information through Viigo software. Enterprise network administrators can publish various enterprise information, such as company calendars, product descriptions, and price lists, by simply installing the Viigo server behind the firewall.

Viigo previously promoted software mainly on BlackBerry handsets. Viigo CEO Mark Roudoc (Mark Ruddock) said on the website that his team will continue to develop software for the BlackBerry, but will continue to work on other platforms for software development.

RIM has yet to comment on the deal. Neither side of the transaction disclosed the financial terms of the transaction. In addition to individual users and businesses, Viigo's target audience includes media companies, mobile operators, and smartphone application developers. Such companies can use Viigo services to publish content and products to end users.
