Rovio vice president Lars broke up with his old club

Finnish game developer Rovio is under intense pressure as the increasingly competitive mobile-phone market fails to keep up. Jami Lasse, executive vice president of the gaming business, Jami Laes, eventually chose to break up with his club.

Although Rovio has been hugely successful in animation production and consumer product licensing through the Angry Birds game brand, it has struggled to launch more popular gaming products. Rovio recently announced a massive layoffs that accounted for about 14% of the total number of employees.

A Rovio spokesman failed to respond to a request for comment on the above news.
