October 20 Morning News, Lenovo Group bought the BlackBerry company again, but according to a reliable source inside Lenovo Group said the relevant reports are not true. Lenovo Group is expected to issue an offer to the Canadian handset maker BlackBerry (10.3,0.81,8.54%) this week, with a first-round offer likely to be $15 per share, possibly at around $18 a share, Benzinga, the US technology blogger, quoted today. Lenovo Group sources said today that the company did not comment on market speculation. An insider who understands Lenovo's development strategy says the report is untrue. In October 2013, Lenovo had considered a takeover of the BlackBerry Company, and had also looked at the company's financial data after signing the relevant agreement. But in the end, Lenovo did not officially launch a merger. Lenovo Group launched a merger with Motorola Mobility earlier this year and is now in the process of 27.81,0.73,2.70% acquisitions. BlackBerry has been less influential than before, and the company's only value now is some communications-related patents. (Loliang)
