Samsung accounted for 63% of Android equipment shipments in early November 2013

Samsung now accounts for 63% of all Android equipment shipments, including smartphones, tablets and tablets, localytics, a market research firm, said November 9, 2013. The market share of HTC, LG, Sony, Motorola and other manufacturers is less than 37%. HTC and LG are sorted second to third. Samsung's advantage comes from its smartphone products favored by users. Of the 10 most popular Android smartphones, eight are from Samsung. The Galaxy S series is not only Samsung's best-selling smartphone, but also the top three of its best-selling Android handsets. Of the 10 most-sold Android phones, only HTC One and Motorola Droid RAZR are among the three, with a market share of only 1.3% and 1.1% respectively. Of the 10 best-selling Android Tablet PCs, Samsung accounts for five. The five Samsung tablets account for 53% of Android Tablet PCs, with about 40% of the Galaxy Tab 2 series. Samsung's top player in the Android device market is the Galaxy S series smartphone and Galaxy Tab 2 series Tablet PC.
