Samsung estimates operating profit up to $9.6 billion trillion in third quarter

Samsung Electronics said in Friday that its operating profit for the quarter ended September 30 would be between 9.9 and 10.3 trillion won (9.2 billion to 9.6 billion U.S. dollars), up 22.8% to 27.8% per cent year-on-year. The company's two-quarter operating profit was 9.5 trillion won, a year-on-year growth of 47.5%. The company expects sales in the three quarter to be 58 to 60 trillion won, up 11% to 15% year-on-year. Analysts expect the company's three-quarter smartphone shipments to be in 8500 to 89 million. Samsung captured 33.1% of the world's market share in the third quarter, according to Strategy Analytics, the Research institute, accounting for 13.6% of Apple's (483.41,-6.15,-1.26%) companies.
