Samsung is purchasing smart Home platform provider SmartThings with a 200 million dollar offer.

Smartthing in addition to providing mobile phone applications can be remote control of the home automation platform, but also in its electrical dealers have smart home appliances kits, equipment and the overall solution. Notably, SmartThings previously formed the Internet of things Consortium with Logitech and Ouya for specific technical standards and commercial advancement. If Samsung finally succeeds in acquiring it, SmartThings may use the Smart Home Wireless network protocol Thread that Samsung has launched with ARM and Nest, and join the Qualcomm-networking alliance established by Samsung and Intel earlier this month.
