NetEase Science and technology news September 26, according to foreign media reports, South Korea's Samsung Electronics Thursday released for enterprise-oriented mobile application download platform Samsungsolutions Exchange, designed to further the use of its unique equipment technology, for enterprise users tailored to improve the productivity of mobile applications. In addition to smaller companies such as Xora and Citrix, the first batch of developers also includes a number of internationally renowned brands such as SAP, Microsoft and Salesforce.com. Samsung FX Exchange is a platform for enterprise customers to set up professional mobile applications. Samsung launched the program to further expand the corporate market and hopes to make use of the unique features of its S pen and other devices to tailor its proprietary functionality to enterprise-class applications. Samsung offers a special development package and more than 1000 API interfaces for Samsung FX Exchange to partner developers. The first partners to participate in the project include: Xora, Citrix, SAP, Microsoft, and Salesforce.com, among others. "In the past, the app developer provided a fully functional version of the desktop application, while the corresponding mobile version was functionally limited." "But today, companies want to offer fully functional applications to mobile devices and want to launch a mobile-oriented version first," said Tim Wagner, vice president and general manager of Samsung Mobile Business development, Tim Wagner. "In the early stages of its development, Samsung did not launch any new applications, but instead focused on helping developers to transform their developed applications to take full advantage of the features of the Samsung Banner S Pen, gestures and mirror screens." Samsung has been eyeing the corporate market for quite some time, a long-standing monopoly of the BlackBerry, but the latter has just announced a privatisation takeover, which is a good time for Samsung to announce a full-scale foray into the corporate market.
