Samsung smart card chip PBOC certification boost financial IC card

[Mobile China News] Samsung Electronics, a global leader in cutting-edge semiconductor products, today announced that its smart card chip has been granted PBOC 3.0 certification to secure UnionPay card account information and transaction security, a requirement that smart card chips will enter China's financial markets One of the requirements.

By working hand in hand with China's leading smart card maker, Samsung successfully passed the certification process for the latest PBOC standard, which was officially released in February 2013. Samsung is well positioned to provide security chip services to major Chinese banks and to promote the technology transformation of the entire industry from magnetic stripe bank cards to IC bank cards.
