It is understood that Tizen is a Linux based open source operating system, Samsung hopes to use it to challenge Google and Apple and other smart phone software market leading companies. Announcing the Samsung Z mobile phone in June this year, the company said the device would be listed in Russia in the third quarter. Samsung earlier this year showed a prototype Samsung Z smartphone in San Francisco and plans to install Tizen into televisions and other electronic products. So far only the company's digital cameras and Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smart watches carry Tizen systems.
