The former Nvidia sued Samsung for violating its patent, and Samsung has now filed a counterclaim. Samsung's lawsuit not only includes Nvidia's unauthorized use of Samsung's 6 patents, but also misleading users by comparing Shield Tablet and Galaxy Note 4 with false-run results (the following figure). Samsung says Nvidia wants to prove that Shield tablet's Tegra K1 processor performance is better than the Samsung Exynos 5433 processor (the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 model uses the processor). Samsung sued the court for a PC maker named Velocity Micro, which used the Nvidia graphics card in its products, which is why Samsung said it violated its two patents. Nvidia denies the Shield tablet run points, representing a fair and impartial comparison of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and shield tablet. Last October, Samsung was blamed for cheating on the Galaxy Note's 3 run-Test.
