February 8 Beijing: SAP announced today that 2011 years as of December 31, its Asia-Pacific and Japan region achieved its best financial performance for 40 years, with software revenues up 32% to 722 million euros. The 2 billion dollar SAP China development Program includes a portfolio of innovative products for the Chinese market, covering financials for HANA, Mobile solutions for the Chinese market, and specific solutions for retail and utility industries. In addition, SAP will enhance its support and service capabilities to provide more value to the vast majority of Chinese users. SAP plans to add 6 new regional offices in China and recruit more than 1,500 new employees.

The strong growth in China's market has once again reinforced Asia-Pacific and Japan as an important part of SAP's global growth engine. In the fourth quarter of 2011, SAP Asia-Pacific and Japan achieved double-digit growth for the 8th consecutive quarter, with software revenues growing by 26% to 289 million euros; software and software-related services revenue grew by 21% to 601 million euros; revenue rose by 20% per cent to 690 million euros.

Over the 12-month period ending December 31, 2011, revenue for software and software-related services in SAP Asia-Pacific and Japan grew by 22% (up to € 1.813 billion) and revenues rose by 20% (up to 2.128 billion euros). SAP group's software and software-related services, based on non-international Financial Reporting Standards (NON-IFRS), exceeded the intended revenue target for 2011, with a growth rate of 15% (for example, 17% in fixed currency). All of the above SAP growth figures in the Asia Pacific region are expressed in terms of the International Non-financial Reporting Standard (NON-IFRS) fixed currency and are compared against the same period last year.

Through this innovative marketing system, coupled with the continuing demand for SAP innovation solutions in major markets, we are confident that we will continue to maintain strong double-digit growth in 2012. ”
