Interviewer: How do you view future trends in search technology as vice president of Google's product and user experience? Marissa Meyer: I think there are six main trends in future search techniques:
One is to break through the language barrier, you can use Chinese, can also use English, that is, any language search can obtain the results of various languages around the world;
The second is in addition to the information on the network, library information and publishing house information will become our information and data sources, that is, "library + Cooperative Partner + publishing" data sources to complete a best search results, that is, our integration of global information;
The third is "video + Voice" multimedia search, must be one of the main applications and trends in the future;
The fourth one is that we present the integrated search, the main categories of information and products to do the search at the same time, give a correlation and the highest relevance of the search results;
The fifth is a combination of map and local search information, such as our current Google Earth products and local information text, pictures and so on;
The sixth one is the combination and adjustment of customer software and tools, like the desktop products that Google has already launched, we think that search can not only be searched on the internet, but also can be launched at any time on the local computer and locally.
Of course, there is still a lot of potential to search the core business, such as search users can do and search engine dialogue, rather than input keywords to get a feedback results, and in more than 10 search site results, how to achieve an interactive model and so on.
Interviewer: So what innovative products did the U.S. headquarters market have done this year? Which one of the products you think is the most innovative in all the Chinese markets this year?
Marissa Meyer: There was a big boost to Google's map products in the U.S. this spring, detailed to the picture of every street, such as my friends and I about to go and coffee, I search through Google can not only search out the address, but also can find out what the door of the coffee shop is like, can let users have the most intuitive feeling.
Also, the introduction of a "Google Gear" products, is a browser-run dynamic interactive Internet products, there are three aspects of the change, you can do local data caching, browsing read faster, support offline browsing, back online after automatic direct data synchronization. I think these two products are the more innovative products that we have done at our headquarters this year.
As for the products that Google China launched this year, I personally think the Hot list products are good, new versions and data are presented, and you can see what other people are searching for.
