SL6 Alpha 4 Releases the recompile red Hat Enterprise Linux

Scientific Linux is a recompiled red Hat Enterprise Linux, developed jointly by the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/38733.html ">cern"). Although it is designed to be fully compatible with red Hat Enterprise Linux, it also provides additional, revenue-free packages for upstream products, the most noteworthy of which are the various file systems, including the cluster suite and global file System (GFS), FUSE , OpenAFS, SQUASHFS, UNIONFS, and wireless network support for Intel Wireless firmware, Madwifi and NDISwrapper, Sun Java and Java Development Kits (JDK), Lightweight ICEWM window manager, statistical computing-oriented r locale, and Alpine mail client.
