SlideShare starts supporting Word and Excel file formats

As seen from digital inspiration, SlideShare now supports doc and XLS format files in addition to PPT and PDF formats. SlideShare is currently the best slide sharing service. Most of the blogs I read and myself use it to store and share my slides.

SlideShare increased support for the DOC and XLS formats makes it a comprehensive document-sharing service and a SCRIBD competitor for another document-sharing service. Digital inspiration that Sliedshare's improvements would make it a big increase in traffic.

I'm 211.html "> I feel that this enhancement is not entirely a good thing for SlideShare. As its domain name shows, SlideShare is a service to share slides, and it has done very well in this field, gaining a lot of reputation. It now adds support for ordinary documents, feeling like YouTube supports pictures or sound files, or Twitter supports more than 140 words, a bit nondescript. If one day we find SlideShare and Scribd have not much difference, that certainly is not slideshare progress.

"Pager is more." It's a cliché, but it makes sense.
