The first workaround:
Note: If SCIM is running, http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/9084.html ">adobe Reader 7.0 will not run." (If we install Chinese, SCIM will run.) To bypass this problem, do the following:
sudo gedit/usr/bin/acroread (or sudo vim/usr/bin/acroread)
The following sections
#!/bin/sh
#
Change into:
#!/bin/sh
#
Gtk_im_module=xim
Save the file.
Now Acroread can work.
The second workaround:
SCIM in feisty configuration, tested in KDE there will be no conflict problems, and not with the unofficial packaged binary software conflict, should be a perfect solution, it is recommended to use SCIM users are configured
sudo apt install scim scim-pinyin scim-tables-zh im-switch scim-qtimm Scim-bridge scim-bridge-client-gtk SCIM-BRIDGE-CLIENT-QT scim-bridge-agent
sudo im-switch-s SCIM
Edit Im-switch generated SCIM configuration file
Gksu GEDIT/ETC/X11/XINIT/XINPUT.D/SCIM
KDE uses the following command
Kdesu KATE/ETC/X11/XINIT/XINPUT.D/SCIM
Modify the default Gtk_im_module=scim to Gtk_im_module= "Scim-bridge". Modify the default Qt_im_module=scim to Qt_im_module= "Scim-bridge".
