Standard guidance industry develops SOA and cloud computing standards

The organization Open Group, which focuses on enterprise standards and interoperability, announces an industry standard for applying SOA and cloud computing. These standards include the Open Group Service Integration Maturity Model (OSIMM) and the SOA governance framework.

These two standards enable organizations to accelerate SOA deployments and generate immediate business value faster.

Open group says the group SOA team is a free guide to institutional application governance standards for accelerating SOA success. OSIMM provides a mature model to drive SOA and cloud computing applications within the enterprise and across the enterprise.

IBM will adopt SOA governance framework and OSIMM

Karla Norsworthy, vice president of software standards at IBM, said in a statement released by Open group that the SOA governance framework provides guidelines and methodologies for overseeing planning, building, and managing SOA solutions.
