Stanford launches Myhealth: Remote monitoring of user health

Stanford University Health Care (SHC) recently released its latest version of the Myhealth application for iOS 8 systems. Myhealth was developed in-house by SHC engineers and is directly connected to the epic electronic health records system, and with Apple's HealthKit collects data from devices that monitor consumer health. SHC says patients can use the app to view test results, medical bills, management side and schedule. Myhealth supports SHC's new Clickwell and online connection with patients and Stanford doctor's tele-medical service. Clickwell provides a personal trainer with a customized health guidance program that monitors data from patients ' home medical devices. "Some patients ' illnesses require innovative technology, and we provide them with state-of-the-art care," SHC's CEO, Amir Dan Rubin, said in a statement. "After a careful assessment of all available mobile technologies, we realised that we had to develop solutions to seamlessly connect our existing electronic medical records systems to meet the needs and expectations of our patients." Rubin added. In addition, Myhealth also provides a safe, patient and nursing staff can communicate directly with the message delivery platform. Healthkit,myhealth can be automatically synchronized with any health equipment or clinical patient home care device used by the consumer. The data received from the device is automatically added to the patient's epic chart for doctors to view remotely. "By working with companies like Withings, our doctors will be able to obtain meaningful and correct data for the patient in epic," SHC's CIO Pravene Nath said in a statement, "We believe this is the future of caring for a variety of chronic diseases." "SHC includes a large university hospital, a primary care facility throughout the Gulf, and a reed redwood and Palo Alto Outpatient Clinic in California." On Apple's HealthKit platform, many of the largest hospitals in the United States are evaluating or developing experimental projects.
