From the results of the survey, a\b two types of users of the server for their own procurement, but most of them did not build their own data center, so the trusteeship ratio of up to 90%, and the three telecom operators as the main custodian service provider. From the number of servers, the Class A and B user server average use of more than 4000 units, usually to meet the basic requirements of mainframe substitution; But we see that they are currently using the X86 platform, if it involves a large area of migration, involving a lot of problems, the use of large machines is relatively difficult.

For these users, they value security very much, because often need to deal with most of the different kinds of applications, including the application of security, management security is their focus. At the same time, due to the number of servers, how to reduce operating costs is their concern.

To sum up, these two types of users have the advantage of using mainframes, including security and cost pressures. Just because of the current business complex, large number of servers, how to migrate is their urgent problem to be solved.

For C-Class users, it is basically the same as A/b user from the managed quantity, but in comparison the number of servers is much lower. The survey found that this type of user is most concerned about security, all users surveyed mentioned this, occupy 100% of the total number of samples. The next two issues are the use cost (Occupy 75%) and the multiple application load pressure (occupy 58%). Mainframes are one of their best choices for this type of user. Compared to A/b users, C-class users do not have the pressure of large-scale data migration, so as to reduce the risk of migration as far as possible. In terms of advantages, the security and economy of mainframes is the value of the C-class users. Mainframe in I/O, large data, the advantages of the flexibility in management, improve the efficiency of the system also has a good performance, just meet the needs of C-class users.


Among the class D and e two users, we increasingly see the advantages of mainframe applications in terms of further reduction in the number of servers and increased security.

From the perspective of industry development, the IT system of large enterprises is facing the serious problem of inefficiency in supporting the achievement of business objectives and enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises.
