3. Instance-the running system based on a AMI is referred to as a Instance. All instances based on the Mahouve AMI begin executing identically. Any information on them are lost when the instances are terminated or if tightly. Instance refers to a system running on an AMI.


4. S3-amazon simple Storage Service:amazon simple Storage Service provides a fully redundant data Storage for Storing and retrieving any amount of data, in any time, from anywhere on the Web.





Preparation Work


1. Of course it's an AWS account, and AWS's full name is Amazon Web Service.


2. Apply for the end of the selection of some of their own service services, register login, as we use the server, because some of the application of EC2 and S3, after the application to pay attention to some of the charges in the project.


3. When you are finished registering, configure the Java Runtime Environment with the EC2 computer.


4. Download Amazon EC2 command-line tools from:http://developer.amazonwebservices.com/connect/entry.jspa?externalid=351& categoryid=88 "Resource Center"-> "Amazon elastic Compute Cloud (Beta)"-> "Developer Tools". or download and install Firefox Elasticfox plug-ins and S3 organizer Plug-ins, this article uses the Firefox plug-in to manage EC2 and S3.

1. With the account IDs of the Elasticfox interface, input account ID and display Name, account ID can be seen in the active acount of the login AWS


2. You can now select the display Name just entered in the Credentials dropdown box.


3. Create a new keypair in Keypairs to start the AMI


4. Set up a user group in security group, set up instance access in this group, such as ports, visitors ' network segments, and so on, which are also used when starting an AMI.


5 now go back to machine images to see some of the public selectable instance, select an appropriate instance, launch it, and select Keypairs and security group in the startup interface.


6. After Launch it, login instance perform some configuration operations and then log out to bundle into AMI.


7. After the bundle task completes, select the register a new AMI by selecting the complete task.


8, the Register will return to machine images This tag, you can see this AMI binding your account ID, and visibility field becomes private, indicating bundle success.


9. There are two more useful operations, one is elastic IP, to bind your AMI to a fixed IP, the other is the EBS volumes, used to expand the hard disk space, and storage of persistent data.





three S3 use


1. Enter your account name, access key, and secret key through the Manage accounts of the S3 organizer interface, where account name can be defined by itself, access key and secret Key is visible in Access identifers that is logged in to AWS.


2. The rest of the work is easier, by setting up their own folders on the S3, set the ACL (user rights) of the folder, you can start uploading and downloading the files, this is to say that the ACL does not seem to take effect immediately, so the set does not immediately produce effect don't feel strange, after a while will be good.





Note Here, instance's D disk is a fixed flash space, the above data is not persistent data, if you terminate this instance, D disk data disappeared, Whether you bundle it or not. So if you want to save persistent data, either save it to a S3, or attach a EBS Volume, and then have the data on Volume, but such storage will require an I/O fee,:), so unless you want to back up the instance data, or send data to the server, I will use S3 and EBS Volume, other data to be used on the Internet.
